Newborn Session · SILLOTH, CUMBRIA
At two and a half weeks old, this gorgeous little one came to see me with his mum, dad and very proud big sister for a relaxed morning in the studio. We took our time, stopped whenever he needed feeding or cuddles, and simply let the session unfold around him.
His big sister absolutely adored him and barely wanted to leave his side, which made for some of the sweetest moments between them. But I should probably add that this is definitely not a given! If your toddler wants absolutely nothing to do with their new baby sibling on the day, please don’t worry. I’ve seen it all before and, trust me, we’ll make it work.
There was plenty of time for those tiny newborn details, but also lots of cuddles, connection and all the little moments between them as they settled into life as a family of four.
SOMETIMES THEY’RE SMITTEN. SOMETIMES THEY’RE REALLY NOT. BOTH ARE ABSOLUTELY FINE.
This little one’s big sister absolutely adored her baby brother and barely wanted to leave his side. But if your toddler shows precisely zero interest in their new sibling on the day, please don’t worry. There’s never any pressure for them to sit, cuddle or behave a certain way. We’ll follow their lead and, trust me, we’ll make it work.

Those first few weeks are so full of wonder. Newborn sessions are a chance to celebrate this beautiful beginning, the tiny details, the cuddles, the new connections and what it feels like to be getting to know this little person who has changed your world in the most wonderful way.
